Chaplain Mike Harmon is a just an everyday adorer of Jesus of Nazareth, who is called the Christ. He’s also a father, pastor, teacher, musician, author, and prayer warrior with a Masters in Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena. His service experience of over 17 years has traversed various locations, parachurch groups, and denominations including nondenominational, Anglican/Episcopal, Methodist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Baptist, Foursquare, and Evangelical Covenant. Spirit-following grace and justice, biblical accuracy, deep worship, and impassioned Christian community ignite his heart.
I’m a wild, wild man. Well, not really. But I do have a goofy sense of humor. Most of the time, people aren’t quite sure what to do with me. But I love God, and I have been given a serious heart and energy about empowering the Church from within. I don’t presuppose to have all the answers, but I’m walking through the call to care for everything God created, and I hope you’ll join me.
These are my experiences, trying to live free from all religious preconceptions, and get at the heart of Jesus.
I don’t promise to be on any particular side of anything, and I’m more than open to being confronted. This is for people who have a just, reasonable discontent for what they hear or see within the Christian Church, and wish it were somehow changed, or opened to discussion, or exposed for further redefinition. This is for encouraging what is right within the Church, so that more and more good fruit can benefit the world. And if we walk together long enough, we will both end up challenged and sharper, as we ought.
Welcome. It ought to be restorative and gracious.
